Q: What is your favorite thing about working at LearnPlatform?

A: The people on our team and the customers I get to work with every day. They're amazing. It is great working with a team of motivated people who are all committed and working toward the same goal. On the same note, it is so fulfilling to be able to interact with educators and help them get a handle on their edtech management.

Q: What is the coolest thing customers can do with LearnPlatform?

A: There are so many cool things! As a former teacher, having one central place to manage and organize edtech tools is something that I would have found incredibly helpful and a huge time-saver. Another cool thing about LearnPlatform is the ability for users to analyze their edtech products by running an IMPACT™ Analysis. It's awesome to be able to produce meaningful data for our customers that can drive schools and districts to make more informed decisions.

Q: What is your first or favorite piece of education technology?

A: While I don’t necessarily have one favorite tool, I love anything that allows students to learn while having fun at the same time. It's so important to make learning an enjoyable and relatable experience and to gets kids super excited during the process. So, any tool that can do that is a favorite of mine! Personally, I am also a huge G Suite fan. It keeps me organized and allows for easy collaboration and documentation. When it comes to edtech, if it is user-friendly and helps me save time, I’m all for it!

Intro song: In the Air Tonight by Phil Collins

Job Profile: As district analyst, Rashid develops partnership opportunities with schools and districts around the country. His goal is to coordinate with potential clients to help identify their challenges, strengths and opportunities for growth within their organization.

Q: What is your favorite thing about working at LearnPlatform?

A: LearnPlatform is a great place to work. The team is close knit, and knowing that we have great people to work with just makes our jobs easier. I would have to say that my favorite thing about LearnPlatform, though, is really offering solutions that ultimately have a positive impact on students, as we provide school districts with tools that help them make more data-driven decisions that lead to improved outcomes.

Q: What is the coolest thing customers can do with LearnPlatform?

A: Really there are so many cool things they can do, but I would have to say the coolest thing is the ability to organize and streamline processes. For schools and districts, there's no denying how important organization is, and if LearnPlatform can help them get that right, they can quickly start to achieve their next level goals.

Q: What is your first or favorite piece of education technology?

A: I would have to say my first favorite piece of education technology that I had the opportunity to work with was really my laptop. It was so easy to have my course software downloaded and to be able to hack away without carrying heavy textbooks to class. It just made things easier and more organized for me, and was one less thing to worry about.

Melissa Bonsted - Product Manager

Intro song: You've Got a Friend in Me by Randy Newman and Lyle Lovett

Job Profile: As a product manager, Melissa acts on behalf of all LearnPlatform users. Taking into account customer input and a product roadmap, she works with internal groups to release new versions of the product that provide awareness for users and ultimately helping all students succeed.

Q: What is your favorite thing about working at LearnPlatform?

A: My favorite thing is a combination of working for a company that has a mission that I can fully stand behind and working alongside a group of people that feel the same as I do. Being surrounded by passion only increases my own passion and desire to make a wonderful product that delights and supports users.

Q: What is the coolest thing customers can do with LearnPlatform?

A: I think the coolest thing customers can do with the platform is use data to make decisions. In areas of education, often spaghetti (an idea) is thrown against the wall to see if the idea will stick. By using actual data generated by the platform, we are allowing the spaghetti to be saved and giving administrators insights into how their edtech tools work and are being used within their school/district.

Q: What is your first or favorite piece of education technology?

A: Ohhh, this is a tough question. My favorite education technology tool is Google Earth. I’m a very visual learner (I can’t stand reading a textbook). When I engage with the timeframe component of Google Earth, I can see how different areas have transformed over time. I find that very exciting.

Q: What is your favorite thing about working at LearnPlatform?

A: Being a part of something that helps educators do their jobs better and more efficient. Everyone here is striving towards the same goal — to make education more effective for the individual learner. Growing up with a learning disabled brother and now helping to raise an autistic nephew, I understand why individualized education is so important and necessary in today’s high-tech, fast-paced society.

Q: What is the coolest thing customers can do with LearnPlatform?

A: Well, there are so many. Because we help districts organize all their edtech tools in one place, it allows more time for teaching and learning, more time to tackle other educational goals and more time to generally focus on what’s most important. It allows teachers and administrators to ask, "What else can be accomplished now?"

Q: What is your first or favorite piece of education technology?

A: My favorite right now is Duolingo. I am getting married next year in Spain so I am currently brushing up on my Spanish. My goal is to also learn French and Italian.
